Ian Dunbar seminar

The 3 days of seminars by Dr. Ian Dunbar were packed with info. I have never seen a speaker who was able to keep the audience fully engaged for such a high percentage of the time he spoke. Being engaged takes energy- probably less energy than keeping us engaged, but I am utterly fried.

I intentionally did not take notes. The communication was such that it lended itself to osmosis. And then there is the web site. I have a few specific questions that I want to find out about. One is: how is the “growl class” run? the other is: how did that all or none retrieve go? I’ll have to chase these up on the dog star web site.

All of the animals have had minimal attention the last couple of days, but I did make an effort to do fun stuff with Amika, as well as start out on the twice daily feeding and using the drag line- which makes me more aware of what I’m asking of her, for some reason. String around finger theory, I guess.

This week, I spent about $200 on dog toys, book and DVD’s. I have also gained more enthusiasm about playing the training game. Now all I have to do is keep it up while catching up on everything else.
