Took Amika to the usual spot, but this time I put her sledding harness on before we went. We also took an old tyre with a bit of rope tied around it. Put her tugline on the end of the tracking line and hooked it all up. Worked great as a way of ‘letting her loose’ but still having her attached to something so she didn’t go jump in the creek. She did great with attention and we ran her legs off (the main intent of the trip). We also did a bit of sitting under a tree and she settled with us between bouts of sniffing around in a relatively relaxed manner. Went home for water, must bring that along next time.

Did RP day 2 on the front porch (easy) and then some LAT with the “puppy” on the gate. She was looking at it, but no big deal. I then went and touched, moved and spoke to the pup. Each time I went straight back and jackpotted Amika on her mat. She watched with intensity each time, and put her head down on the mat when I returned. In the middle of this, some kids went by on bikes, so more LAT. She’s getting so quick I’m having trouble clicking in time!
