Virtual separation anxiety?

Took Amika and the camera to the calisthenics centre car park, just across the creek from where we have been. Unfortunately I didn’t hit the button properly and the camera got nothing. Amika was a lot less focussed but still lots better than she has been.

Our husky pup arrived in the mail and I’ve kitted him out with a collar and leash. The loop of the leash goes around his belly so I’ll be able to hang him on the picket fence or simulate walking / turning.

Leslie has come up with a game for us to play to change Amika’s reaction to loosing a human. The condition is called (LOL) Virtual Separation Anxiety. I presume because the person she is missing isn’t really gone. So she will hear a cue that the person is going to leave, get clicked when the person leaves and eat a treat as he’s returning. This is weird psychology stuff so will be interesting to see how it goes.
