The ability to hang out

Busy day today, but we went to the park at the Dome and played the VSA game. Amika barely noticed unless I let Dion get about 15m away. I didn’t ask for him to go any further, as I didn’t want her slight concern to go any further. She was really good in this new area, did C/T for orients, a few times called her name and rewarded the response.

We also sat in the shade (warm day) and ‘did nothing’ for a bit, which is so great. Part of that, of course, is not being a little puppy any more, but the “just hanging out” thing is very cool. We tried to do the VSA game while walking, but it doesn’t work if the dog isn’t focussed on the people much. She was starting to get a bit amped after our rest under the tree, and was surging and sniffing too much.
